Faed and busy

I probably forgot to mention that at the beginning of the month my short story “Wish” was published in the anthology “Faed”, which you can find here. Totally worth reading. And the publishing date for “Mirror Lake” was pushed back – sorry for that – because I am just so friggin’ unorganized and busy. (If you want to keep an eye on my wild writing adventures, I try to keep the publications page up to date. No promises.)

What else is new on the witching front? Nothing much. Lots of cocktails, lots of poor eating choices, lots of work. I am trying to keep my spirits up, but it has been hard these days, with double workloads at the office and not enough time to read or write or exercize. You probably know it, so I won’t complain too much. Still trying a way to make enough money with writing that I can scale back to a half-time office job, and eventually leave the office altogether. Not sure how to do that, though…

The only time I feel really witchy, most days, is when I am out running in the woods. Over time I have formed a special bond with this place, complete with favorite trees and birds acting as messengers. Recently it has been crows and magpies… want to see my favorite tree?

Crappy quality, I know, but I don’t take proper camera equipment with me when I am out running. Ooooh, I have been thinking about some naughty magicks, for yourself or friends who need that extra spring spark… going to work this out and share it soon, I hope.

    Congrats on the story!

And I totally understand the bit about pushing publishing dates around. Life insists on happening… so bothersome.
